Unicol Womens C Div - 3 Vs Cambridge -1 11 May 2014

The normal 'C' word associated with the Mens side of the Cambridge club did not apply today. We had a great well fought game against the strong Cambridge side. With an up and down season so far the Unicol team stepped up a notch today really gelling together.

Cambridge were first to score. But then the amazing started.. Vhari scoring straight back from the kick off, beating 5 players and shooting from the 18 yard box. Next goal was also a spectacular shot from Holly.

After half time our Hillcrest High super star Briar managed to put one past the keeper. Briar is growing from strength to strength toughening up each week. More goals will be seen from Briar throughout the season!

With our normal keeper away who do you put in goal? The shortest player of course. The strategy of putting the Midget (Kirsty) in goal seemed to pay off with a few saves and a player of the day performance.

At the end of the day Unicol Football was the winner, of the game of two halves, on the day.. 3-1. Great effort girls, we are really starting to play to our strengths.

We also got to see the Under 20 Football World Cup trophy which will be played in NZ in 2015. There was an amazing blow up football field and we jumped on for a match.

Fine: Hamish for having the game stopped until he returned to his proper coaches station. Rob will be very pleased with Hamish's Hoytz sponsorship mention in the aftermatch speech.

Mothers Day mentions to Vhari and Libby!!!
